In industrial processes, machinery and equipment are regularly exposed to high temperatures. Examples include burners, industrial furnaces, heat exchangers and gas filter systems. The metal mesh used in these systems must retain its shape and functionality under conditions in which standard materials no longer perform adequately.

Thanks to special alloys, precise mesh apertures and bespoke production, we create a woven mesh solution that meets the technical requirements of every installation.

High temperatures can affect the strength, dimensional stability and service life of metal mesh. Under prolonged thermal stress, an unsuitable type of material may deform or lose its original properties. Corrosive gases and extreme temperature fluctuations can also place additional strain on the material. Heat-resistant mesh can provide the solution here.
That is why every application requires a carefully selected combination of material, wire diameter, mesh size and weave structure. Only when these properties are tailored to the operating conditions can the mesh continue to function reliably over the long term.
Heat-resistant mesh is used for filtering, separating, protecting and supporting within high-temperature processes. In burners and gas filter systems, for example, the mesh helps to control gas and air flows. In industrial furnaces and metalworking, it can be used as a filter medium, a support material or protection against sparks.
Woven mesh is also used in heat exchangers, turbines and jet engines to manage heat or protect vulnerable components. Its open structure allows flow to continue, whilst at the same time the mesh forms a functional and stable barrier.
High-temperature applications place specific demands on the alloy used. That is why Royal Dinxperlo manufactures wire mesh from materials including Incoloy DS, AISI 309 and nichrome. Other materials are also available on request.
