Powder coating of woven and welded mesh

Before Royal Dinxperlo coats the mesh, we determine which coating is best suited to the application. We then apply the powder evenly across the mesh. Afterwards, we cure the coating using heat. This creates a seamless and strongly adherent finish around the metal wires.

Royal Dinxperlo can powder coat wire mesh up to a width of 1,700 millimetres. We offer both a UV-resistant PE coating and an epoxy coating. In addition, we can produce the wire mesh in various colours and finishes. This allows us to tailor the coating to both the functional requirements and the desired appearance.

Why powder coat metal mesh?

A powder coating can offer various functional and visual benefits:

  • Protection against corrosion and the elements.
  • Increased resistance to wear and tear.
  • A longer service life for the mesh.
  • An even and neat surface finish.
  • A choice of different colours and finishes.
  • A coating tailored for indoor or outdoor use.
  • Preservation of the mesh’s open structure.
  • Reduced maintenance during use.

However, not every application requires the same coating. That is why we consider the base material, the operating environment and the function of the mesh. Based on this, we determine which coating and finish are most suitable.

Various applications of coated mesh

Epoxy-coated mesh for hydraulic filters

In hydraulic filters, woven mesh serves, amongst other things, to support the filter medium. The mesh must therefore be able to withstand the conditions within the hydraulic system. In addition, the filter manufacturer must be able to process the mesh effectively during production.

Royal Dinxperlo produces epoxy mesh from iron wire with wire diameters ranging from 0.1 to 0.5 millimetres for this purpose. First, we weave the wire into the desired mesh structure. We then apply an even epoxy coating. This results in a strong and durable mesh construction for hydraulic filtration.

The combination of precisely woven mesh and an even epoxy coating ensures consistent quality of the filter component. That is why we carefully tailor the mesh aperture, wire diameter, width and coating to the filter manufacturer’s requirements.

Black powder-coated aviary mesh

In aviaries and other animal enclosures, metal mesh serves more than just a protective function. Safety, visibility and appearance also play an important role. That is why Royal Dinxperlo supplies durable welded and woven mesh without sharp wire ends.

In addition, we can apply a black, UV-resistant powder coating to the aviary mesh. This black finish makes the mesh less visually obtrusive. As a result, visitors have a better view of the animals and the enclosure takes on a more natural appearance.

The UV-resistant coating is also suitable for exposure to sunlight and various weather conditions. In this way, we combine a durable finish and a neat appearance with an open and safe mesh structure.

Coated protective mesh for ventilation units

Ventilation and air filtration units are exposed to moisture, dirt and changing weather conditions on the outside. Protective mesh therefore prevents leaves, twigs, birds and other unwanted objects from entering the system. As a result, the mesh reduces the risk of damage to the filters and fans behind it.

By powder-coating the welded protective mesh, we provide the surface with additional protection against external influences. Furthermore, we can match the colour of the coating to the appearance of the housing. In this way, the protective mesh also blends in visually with the ventilation unit.

For this application, we apply the coating evenly, without unnecessarily reducing the open structure. This ensures that the required airflow is maintained. At the same time, the mesh provides the desired protection and durability.

Why choose Royal Dinxperlo?

Royal Dinxperlo combines the production of woven and welded mesh with in-house capabilities for applying functional coatings. This enables us to develop the mesh specifications and surface finish as a single, comprehensive bespoke solution.

Furthermore, we carry out both production and coating under one roof. This enables us to maintain control over the mesh structure, dimensions, colour and coating quality throughout the entire process. In addition, we can accurately reproduce the finish for recurring production runs.

Our advantages:

  • Powder coating of both woven and welded mesh.
  • Choice of epoxy coatings and UV-resistant PE coatings.
  • Coating of mesh up to a width of 1,700 millimetres.
  • Choice of various colours and finishes.
  • Uniform coating whilst retaining the open mesh structure.
  • Tailored to industrial applications and outdoor use.
  • Production and coating under one roof.
  • Customisation in terms of material, mesh aperture and wire diameter.
  • Consistent quality for recurring production runs.
  • Technical support in selecting the right combination of wire mesh and coating.
