Woven and welded metal mesh is usually produced on wide rolls. However, many applications require only a narrow strip. When customers have to cut the mesh to width themselves, this requires additional machinery, staff and an extra production step.
Royal Dinxperlo can precisely process woven and welded wire mesh into strips. The strip width is tailored to the application and the customer’s subsequent processing requirements. This allows the wire mesh to be used directly in the production process.
Wire mesh has an open structure that must be carefully guided during cutting. The material must run straight through the machine and must not shift unintentionally during processing. This is particularly important for long strips and tight width tolerances.
Furthermore, the properties vary depending on the type of mesh. The material type, wire diameter, mesh aperture and woven or welded construction all influence how the mesh can be cut. A controlled process is required to achieve a consistent strip width along the entire length.

During the slitting process, we cut a wide strip of metal mesh lengthways into one or more narrower strips. We adjust the blades and machine settings to suit the type of mesh and the required width. This enables us to precisely slit both woven and welded mesh into strips.
Royal Dinxperlo is able to work to relatively tight dimensional tolerances. This results in mesh strips of a consistent width. Consequently, the strips are suitable for further processing into filters, technical components and other bespoke products.
In addition, we produce the mesh strips to customer specifications and deliver them in a practical manner. This means the customer does not receive a wide roll that needs to be cut in-house, but mesh in the exact width required by their own production process.
By supplying metal mesh directly in the correct strip width, customers can simplify various internal production steps. This is because they no longer need to cut the material to size themselves. As a result, they can feed the mesh directly into a machine or process it into a finished product.
Mesh cut into strips offers several advantages:
Stripping is therefore not merely a customisation process. It also helps customers to organise their production flow more efficiently. Furthermore, a consistent strip width reduces the risk of deviations during further processing.
Manufacturers use wire mesh in strip form for a wide range of industrial and technical applications. For example, it is suitable for:
The application and subsequent processing ultimately determine the required strip width and design. We therefore carefully tailor the dimensions and method of delivery to the customer’s production process.
For every order, we assess the best way to process the wire mesh into strips. In doing so, we take into account, amongst other things:
First, we assess the properties of the wire mesh and the technical requirements of the application. We then set the machines to the desired strip width and tolerances. In this way, we produce wire mesh strips that fit seamlessly into the subsequent production process.
Royal Dinxperlo manufactures and processes the wire mesh in-house. This enables us to carefully coordinate mesh production with the final strip width. Furthermore, we maintain control over dimensions and quality throughout the entire process.
Royal Dinxperlo combines extensive knowledge of woven and welded wire mesh with considerable experience in the precise processing of wire mesh into strips. This enables us to supply various types of wire mesh and materials to customer-specific dimensions.
Furthermore, we carry out both production and processing under one roof. This enables us to respond quickly to specific requirements regarding width, tolerances and delivery. Moreover, our precise working methods ensure a consistent strip width for recurring production runs.
Our advantages:
Do you need woven or welded mesh in a specific strip width? Royal Dinxperlo will work with you to identify the right mesh, the required dimensions and the preferred method of delivery.
First, we assess the technical requirements of your application. We then cut the mesh precisely to the desired width and tolerances. This ensures you receive mesh strips that you can process directly within your production process.
