In screen printing, ink is applied to the underlying material through a fine-mesh screen. The quality of this screen mesh has a direct impact on the distribution of the ink and, consequently, on the accuracy and appearance of the final result. Even minor irregularities in the mesh can become visible as streaks, colour variations or irregularities.
Royal Dinxperlo manufactures high-quality stainless steel screen printing mesh for applications requiring a consistent mesh structure and a flawless print result. The mesh is precision-woven and supplied completely clean, free from creases, folds, streaks or weaving defects.

During the screen printing process, the ink must flow evenly through the mesh openings. If the mesh openings, thread diameters or tension in the fabric are not consistent, the amount of ink applied may vary from one position to another. This can result in colour variations and other visible imperfections. The quality of the mesh therefore plays a key role in the final print result.
In addition, the screen must be flat, clean and free from damage. A crease, fold or weaving defect can affect the printed image. This, in turn, can lead to the end product being rejected. Screen printing therefore requires metal mesh that meets strict technical quality requirements.
The mesh acts as the precise carrier through which the machine applies ink to a surface according to the desired pattern. The open areas of the mesh allow the ink to pass through, whilst the covered areas prevent the ink from reaching other areas. In this way, the mesh determines where the ink is applied to the surface and where it is not. An even mesh structure ensures controlled ink transfer.
Royal Dinxperlo produces screen printing mesh with an exceptionally smooth weave. This creates a flat and even surface that contributes to a sharp and uniform print result. Furthermore, the consistent quality helps to prevent colour variations and other irregularities during the printing process.
Royal Dinxperlo manufactures screen printing mesh exclusively from AISI 304 stainless steel. This material combines dimensional stability and strength with a smooth surface and a long service life. This makes it a suitable basis for precise and repeatable screen printing processes. The mesh is available with wire diameters ranging from 0.02 to 0.5 millimetres and in widths of up to 2,000 millimetres.
In addition to unrolled mesh, Royal Dinxperlo also offers calendered versions. In this process, we calender the woven mesh so that, for the same wire diameter and mesh size, a thinner fabric thickness
is achieved. This can reduce ink consumption during the screen printing process. The desired ink transfer and the technical requirements of the application therefore determine which version is most suitable.
Royal Dinxperlo has many years’ experience in the production of high-quality woven mesh for screen printing applications. Thanks to our precise production methods and strict quality controls, we supply mesh for demanding and reproducible printing processes.
Furthermore, we carefully inspect the mesh for creases, folds, streaks and weaving defects. This ensures you receive a clean and evenly woven product. We also offer both calendered and uncalendered versions. This allows us to tailor the screen printing mesh precisely to your production process and desired print result.
